  • Who can attend the 4th Gathering for Adventure Therapy in Europe?
    GATE invites everyone working in the outdoor therapy field (adventure-based therapy, nature-based therapy, wilderness therapy, ecotherapy, experiential therapy, etc.), as well as those interested in nature-based activities with added value, experiential education, and the search for alternative therapeutic solutions. We welcome professionals in the field - scientists, lecturers, facilitators, as well as those who have recently developed an interest in this area and have a desire to learn more.
  • Is it possible to refund the registration ticket?
    Yes, it is possible to refund the GATE registration until May 19, 2024. Please note that when purchasing a ticket, each participant assumes responsibility for attending the event. GATE organizers take into account every received euro, and the ticket purchase price includes ticket agency fees, as well as taxes in the Republic of Latvia. Therefore, the refunded amount will be 50% of the ticket price to cover these costs and prevent losses. In case of a refund, please contact

The event will take place in an outdoor setting, featuring lectures, research reports, posters, workshops, and various outdoor activities. Leave your suits at home and pack comfortable, activity-appropriate clothing. Accommodation options include camping site tents or personal campers. Feel free to bring your family to GATE to enjoy a special family program!

    This GATE conference is going to be fully offline and present, held 'on the spot' in Latvia, Sigulda. Therefore, unfortunately, no, there are no online sessions planned.

    Yes, every participant, including lecturers and workshop facilitators, must purchase a ticket. The conference is organized on a voluntary basis, and while the participants' fees cover the majority of expenses, sponsors provide support by covering a portion of the technical costs. The GATE organizer team works without salary to coordinate the event.
